How long do you want to ignore this user?
Just got an apple watch and was looking to get a GPS golf app but I'm struggling to pull the trigger on any of them. Yalls recommendations would be helpful. Thanks

Always enjoyed the 18Birdies watch app. Would have stuck with it if I didn't go the route of the BlueTees GPS speaker.

I use the 18Birdies (free version) app for GPS/scoring. I haven't used any other so I can't make any comparisons. The only minor issue I have is it doesn't always use my watch location (sticks with my phone location) for the distances. This could be user error of some sort though and only really comes into play in cart path only situations.

I use Grint for GPS and tracking. It takes some getting used to on using phone with watch, but it will sync with GHIN once round is completed.

I tried out a bunch of different watch apps a few years ago, including TheGrint, TAGHeuer, Swing, and 18Birdies. Of those, I liked TheGrint the best for its layout and ease of use during a round. That's the one I'd recommend. But none of them are as good as a dedicated GPS watch, unfortunately. I use ShotScope now.

I use Arccos on my Apple Watch Ultra 2 (I specify this because I think it is a battery hog and if I didn't have the big boy watch I think it would kill the battery of the regular apple watch). It allows me to still be able to use my phone and bluetooth speaker and auto records my shots. I like it.

I really like LOOP. It's free and very easy to use.

Golfshot Plus

I've been very happy with GolfShot Plus on my phone for years and it's even better with the Apple Watch. Has shot tracking - haven't used it yet - but looks cool. Not familiar with the other apps to give a comparison though. Would definitely recommend GS Plus. The Pro subscription is only $30 a year (which I have) but you can use it for free with less functionality.

All of the watch apps have similar functionality. The difference is in the screens, how easy it is to use on course, whether it syncs reliably, and the subscription price. That's why I suggest trying as many of them as you can to find what works best for you at a price you can be comfortable with.
