Will be road tripping through Arkansas next month (Texarkana to Memphis route). Course suggestions are appreciated. It's a golf roadie, ...part of long goal to play in each state. Checking off TN, then MS as well.

I'm not sure how close to I-40 you intend on staying the route, but Mountain Ranch in Fairfield Bay, and Tannenbaum in Drasco are outstanding courses with great views. Each are about an hour north of Little Rock. Definitely worth the detour, according to me.

I had the fortune of playing Tannenbaum a lot before the entire 18 was finished and it became more popular. We'd play 9 twice until they started slowly opening holes on the back 9. Great views of the mountains and Greers Ferry Lake.

If you're determined to stay around I-40, Eagle Hill in Little Rock is worth your time. Not nearly as nice as the above, but an overall good course.

Thanks for feedback. I'm setting out from College Station, so Little Rock is about as far as I can get with time left to get a round in. Any experiences with Granada (Hot Springs Village) or DeGray State Park?

Called Eagle Hill and that is definitely an option.

My brother in law played a tournament at Granada last year and said he absolutely loved it. Very well kept, pretty course and challenging. I haven't been, personally, but he's an avid golfer and is on the course about 3-4 days a week. If he's endorsing it, it's good.
