Any word on how the course renovation is going? What kind of changes are going to be seen when the tour shows up in a few weeks?

Course looks awesome. It'll be ready for the tournament. They are completing bridges now. Quite a few significant changes. They added barranca throughout the course, and all the par 3s are very different compared to pre-renovation.

I read some talk about flipping the order. Did they go through with that?

Not that I have heard. I guess the tour could do it for the tournament, but I don't think Colonial is flipping the nines for member play.

I still have PTSD from the US Open when I hear the word barranca.

Barranca as in a canyon or ravine? Or is this a type of plant?

I thought barranca was more of a waste bunker. I may be misremembering though

Barranca is like a "natural" ditch/low area that is mostly wild. Often times they're dry.

This is the idea at Colonial. Several areas will always have water, but several others will have no water. The areas with no water in them will look like they could carry water. Most of the areas will ultimately be shin to knee deep with growth.
