I called golfbreaks to see where they recommended. Said tpc isnt really worth the $350-$400 they asking for as well.

Mentioned we ko pa, troon north, eagle mountain, greyhawk, boulders, raven. They dont work with quinterro. so many courses. Hard to choose from.

TPC doesnt seem worth it without the stands on 16. Troon seems pricey. Maybe we do both courses at we ko pa and raven.

nothing wrong with that. as has said before many times. you cant go wrong with We Ko Pa.

Found an airbnb off frank lloyd and shea blvd east of town, but may cancel if i can find something better

That's outside the 101 so bars and restaurants are a20-25 minute drive or Uber ride but it's almost halfway to WKP from town. It's also near Eagle Mountain and Sunridge Canyon.

I'll be curious to hear what you think of Raven. I like it but it's different than what people think of when they think of Arizona golf. Raven is right by, literally right by, Legacy which I have only driven by and not played. Couple of the guys in the pro shop at Raven told me they like it a lot. I can't vouch for it at all.

Played Widlfire Faldo Friday, both Grayhawk Saturday, Quintero today. Conditions were incredible.
Tomorrow we start at Troon North Monument and finish at We Ko Pa Chollo. Last day before we fly out we play wildfire Palmer. Staying at JW Marriott. Vibes and golf in the area is incredible. If I wasn't 100%Texan I would retire out here in a heartbeat.

How was Faldo?

You're right about the vibe. It's the most relaxed place I've ever been.

Would love to get your take on your comparison between Quintero and Troon north as those are the two courses I am trying to decide between for golf.

Is Troon North worth the extra $107/person over Quintero?

I have Raven Golf Club and We Ko Pa (Saguaro) booked already.

I'm playing Quintero for the first time in a month. But I have played Troon North. Yes, the conditions are incredible, but it is not worth $600 at the end of the day once you pay for a caddy And everything else. Just my opinion. There are other courses in the area that have as good a views. And very similar conditions for 100 to 150 $s cheaper

Everyone should go to Quintero at least once. Very unique experience and the views are the best in my opinion.

I talked to some guys that played Raven within the last 10 days, had never played it before and they both said how did they not know about this place. It's different than the typical tourist rotation and you might run into Martin Chuck there.

I wouldn't say so. Quintero was really special. Troon was great also, but I give the nod to Q.

Played it last year. Definitely an awesome course

The East Valley is underrated for views.

I played We Ko Pa 20 years ago… it was awesome but I have no idea what course it was or if it was the only one.

Does anybody have opinions on Eagle Mountain, Whirlwind or Camelback Ambiente?

Eagle Mountain is across Shea from Sunridge and I've driven through it but not played. Looks good but that's an uninformed option. Ambiente is in town aso easier to get to. I like Ambiente. I think it's much better than the other course at Camelback. Whirlwind is a drive to very far south Chandler. Heard good things but location makes it less a choice for visitors.
