Any recs? Staying at Hardrock on pacific. Looking to play one round while there. Spouse will be riding along but not playing. Leaning towards Diamante but open towards any suggestions.

If your wife is riding along, Quivira for the views.

Cabo del Sol and Palmilla were both great courses when we played them in 2018.

If you can play Diamante dunes....do that. Grand solmar is another nice one that is public. Cabo del sol is way over priced. And quivera, if you can get on, is number 1.

Cabo Del Sol is the only Cabo course I have played but it was great.

If you can get on Quivira it's a must play. Played palmilla ocean/arroyo last year and was impressed with it for the price/availability.

Unless it's changed in the last two years, you could only play Diamante if you were staying there or wanted to sit through their time share presentation.

Does Quivira make you sit through a timeshare pitch too?

You need to be staying at Pueblo Bonito to get on at Quivara unless you have some pull I believe

This

But there a bunch of different properties that can get you access not just Pueblo Bonita.

You can even get access with some on-site condos via AirBnB and VRBO.

To get a discount that's less than $300-$400,I believe you do.

Puerto Los Cabos is also a good one, though I just saw the price increase...played it a few years back and it was $175 and that included the food and bev at every 3 holes..Now I see it's 350..

Played there 5 years ago and it was ~350 then....and worth it. The F&B stations at that place are the best.

Don't bother with any timeshare/vacation membership presentations to get a discount. The time is not worth the savings. Otherwise, you can't miss with most of the courses in Cabo. GREAT spot for golf.

Has anyone been able to get on Quivira without staying at Pueblo Bonito? We're staying at a different resort but Quivira is the top choice. Puerto Los Cabo is probably the second choice.

Played Puerto Los Cabo instead of Quivira on a trip in May and it did not disappoint. The whole group had played Quivira and about half of the guys said they preferred Puerto Los Cabo afterwards. I personally think the experience and views of Quivira are unbeatable if you haven't played it before, but PLC is a fantastic track.

Another vote for Quivara….spectacular course.

I've played Puerto Los Cabos & Cabo del Sol….not bad as secondary options. I'd try your best to play Quivara though if you can

I've heard you've got to get on Quivara if you can… for the experience. I've played Puerto Los Cabos, and it's really good, but Quivara takes you all the way out to the cliffs over the ocean, which sounds and apparently is awesome.
