Anyone played the Old American course at Tribute? Reading about it it looks phenomenal.

I played it a couple years ago. Good, challenging course. Wind picked up only for a few holes but when it was gusty it played brutally tough.

Great course. Like Bunk said when it's windy can be very challenging due to the lack of trees and small greens.

I played Old American in September. They just had a LPGA event a few weeks earlier.

Great layout, holes have some type of curve/bend, the greens are super fast but really small. Pin placement is horrible since the greens are small.

Due to the challenge of the course, I actually really enjoyed it. Looking forward to playing this course again.

If I remember correctly, the driving range is closed on Monday and Tuesday. The Tribute is closed on Tuesdays so everyone has to play Old American on Tuesday.

Tribute is awesome. #1/18 at st Andrews AND the road hole.

Postage stamp at carnoustie. Lots of great holes. Hard as hell when windy. Greens are tough. Ball is a goner in the tall stuff.

Tribute Golf Links - Golf Clubs At The Tribute

Old American is a fun course. A buddy of mine is a member and we play out there when our wives want to get together. Nice and windy.

I'm a member of Golf Clubs at the Tribute which is both Tribute and Old American, and if you're coming up to play, you should hit both courses. Tribute is not a hoakie course and the holes are built to scale for those Scottish holes. If there is wind, even the easy holes are tough as it sits on the peninsula on Lake Lewisville.

OA is all about taking smart approach shots and don't be afraid to play it safe on several holes to ensure you don't get your ass kicked getting too confident in your game. The greens are by far what makes the course difficult, but the greens are fast and pure so you'll have a great time with your putting game.
