Currently my favorite player is Tommy Fleetwood. I first became aware of him on a Rick Shiels 10 shot challenge. He seemed very down to earth and just a genuine guy. The more I've watched and listened to him over the last several years the more I like him. He's a pretty good player too! So it got me wondering what other players those on the board follow and enjoy watching and why.

In no particular order, here's who I'm typically rooting for:

Homa
Scheffler
McIlroy

Fleetwood, Hovland, Homa are very easy to root for.

I am forever a Hideki fan after his masters win too.

Joel Dahmen - Seems like a cool guy and has a great story
Max Homa - Nice guy that films with the youtube guys on occasion
Kisner - He's funny
Spieth - Seems like a nice guy and he's the one who was the star when I started really playing golf
Phil - He's just fun to watch
Any Aggies

I can't stand Spieth. And after time it's not even because he's a sip. It's because 90% of the time when he's not on a heater, all he does is *****, moan, and complain like a child. And I can't stand that crap.

Xander is my personal favorite. Torrey Pines has a special place for me and my family and we're out there once a twice a year even if it's just to eat breakfast. We were having breakfast at the grill and he had come in early for the US Open because he really wanted to win close to home. He's working on putting on the practice green with a putting coach and slow motion camera system. It was fun.

But the best part was he gets into a chip / flop contest from off the green with a couple of other tour pros that had been talking crap at him during his lesson. It was just a hilarious thing to watch. And If I remember correctly, the bets were trading places $1ish, but the shots were more and more outlandish and the back and forth had everyone rolling. And I'm not sure anyone eating breakfast had any clue who these guys were. Most were just staying at the hotel separate from the golf tournament as it was the last day before it shut down for the tournament.

Only frustration is I'm not really sure at this point if he'll ever get it together and finally make a real championship run like many of the big names have at some point. Which is a crazy thing to say for a guy that's made over $40 million just from tournament payouts.

Hadwin - the guy is only player proven to be able to take a hit and not drop the champagne bottle. Also, he is our multi-time club champion.

I like a lot of those mentioned already but I'll also throw Sam Burns in the mix. Seems like a great down to Earth dude and from Louisiana & has a nice ranch that's featured towards the end of this video

Tony Finau

At the moment, it's Hovland. Rarely loses his temper, and always comes across as giving honest answers in his interviews.

Used to be Angel Cabrera. He always played quickly, which is rare on tour. Also, he authored one of my favorite Masters moments when he marched off the tenth tee with his left arm signaling McIlroy's tee ball heading OB in the midst of his meltdown. Classic.
