yeah that's exactly what he was doing. I think when he started he was using different holes but it was always in easy mode IIRC. Frankie at barstool and some others were encouraging him to switch to 7th Pebble and just hit it down there. All morning he would either shank it right and down the cliff, or hit it 3-10 feet left of the hole on the green.

I think it was part of Jerry's initial schtick when he got viral prior to joining barstool. He used to work a blue collar union job and would say "I'm always blue collar. I'm always union for life" or whatever, had a viral video as a crazy Steelers fan going nuts, then also started doing some man on the street type videos once he got followers. When he got hired 5 years after initially talking to them and hitting a big bet or something he went with "it was always jersey jerry"

Something close to that. He's a recovering crackhead who is 8+ years sober that had to go to rehab a ton of times before he finally got clean. Interesting character and one of the more entertaining ones to follow in the Barstool crew.
