Wife needs christmas gift ideas, so I figured golf lessons would be good and something to do with my kid, he likes golf but doesn't like sucking at things.

He has only played real golf once and is 16

It's kind of a big city. Maybe narrow the geography a bit.

lessons for both of you, one lesson per person? Or you mean both of you at the same time? If at the same time, unless you are both starting from nothing, I don't recommend it.

Go to swanny's for group lessons. I did that with my kids. Not that it was the best thing ever from a golf standpoint, but it was a fun activity with my kids and we ate there afterwards. But I do still use some of the things they showed me on putting, hand placement and chipping.

I just want to spend quality time with my kid. I stink at golf and always will.
