I'll confess to not fully understanding the process and where he stands with regard to becoming eligible as a PGA tour player. I'm lost in the weeds of Korn Ferry and who is exempt until later stages etc. etc.

Perhaps someone who understands it all can give me a Cliff Notes version of his status and the remaining obstacles he faces.

He has full status on the KF tour for next year. He also can accept seven sponsorship exemptions or play in 12 PGA tour events in a season as a non-member. He likely won't take too many PGA exemptions since it reduces his odds of getting a PGA tour card via the KF tour.

Gets his card if he's top 30 in KF next year too.

According to this article, Bennett only has conditional status on the Korn Ferry Tour for 2024.

Walker Lee did better than Sam did.

Don't see Sam anywhere on KFT for next week. That's rough. I think in hindsight he made a mistake going with the sponsors exemptions instead of going right to the KFT like others in his class did. Now I assume he is on one of the lower tours.
