And they think they should have some say in what happens to the PGA Tour. You could replace any of those guys with a local +2 handicap at each tournament and literally not a single person would care or know.

Fritelli, Griffin, Lashley, Piercy, Reavie, and Willett are the only ones on that list I could pick out of a lineup. I've heard a few other names as well, but couldn't tell you what they looked like. Then like half the list is just a blank for me.

Gotta build out a DK lineup with one of those guys every once in a while. Know them all

I didn't realize Tommy "Two Gloves" was still hanging around on Tour.

I don't really fault the guys for fighting for their careers. They're a bunch of guys who have to fight to keep their card most years and probably understand they'll never be much more than that. I'm sure they want to ensure they have as many opportunities as possible (and for as much money as possible) to keep playing professional golf. They are all probably looking at jobs in insurance if the Tour decides to shrink the professional world and only cater to the top 50 or so. But this is why change was virtually impossible before now.

The above is a perfect example as to why LIV ever had a chance.

The responses by the posters on this page and the PGAT are exactly why there are issues. The entire point of the PGAT and why it was created was to represent the best interests of professional golfers on tour. And if guys with tour cards have to ask what is going on and what the strategy will be moving forward, it's because the PGAT administration is not representing their interests. It doesn't matter if they #1 in the world or #150.

If you care about fringe golfers, then you should despise LIV. They have no use for them, other than to fill out rosters until they can get the elite. If they succeed, pro golf is 40-60 guys and all the guys that signed this letter will have to go get a regular job.

Despite its faults, the Tour offers a pathway to professional golf for approximately 150-200 guys. If you care about the bottom half of the tour, then it's survival is their only chance of carving out a decent career.

Shorter version, LIV is the worst thing that ever happened to the mules, because they have completely lost their leverage over the elite. As you are now seeing by them hiring attorneys.

This entire thing started because the kingdom wanted to start a lower tier developmental league in the sandbox just like PGAT China. I seriously doubt that still isn't in the cards. LIV was just the only play to force the PGAT hands.

I will not be watching LIV

I think LIV or a similar format is going to be the future. Love it or hate it. It's the next evolution of golf. Just the best (Or most popular) 60 players going against one another once a month or so. Why split the money with the mules if you're the one drawing all the $ and eyeballs?

Phil was correct and I think the PGA Tour messed up big time not listening to the Saudis. It could be exciting with free agency and who will pick up the next big thing coming out of college or europe.

It started with the PGA being the tour, then the players wanted their say and formed the PGA Tour, and now the big names want the money so it will be the oil money funding it. I don't see how the PGA Tour survives other than being the development tour for LIV. Hopefully I'm wrong. I love the idea of some random guy being able to qualify for an event and eventually make a living playing golf. (Patrick Reed is the best and most ironic example)

In this age of instant gratification and access to service, products and entertainment at your finger tips, I ain't wanna wait until 3PM for the leaders to tee off. Go shot gun it and let me choose what group to watch. I say LIV is closer to making this happen than the PGAT
