Played there a few weeks ago and the conditions weren't great. Not super bad but definitely could have been better. Still had fun.

Waterview is ok, good for the price.

My recommendation would be drive a little further and hit either Firewheel Lakes or Buffalo Creek

I used to play there all the time. Never had fantastic management and the conditions were never quite what they could've been. Never awful, just rarely great.

There are a few really good holes out there. I always enjoy it.

Also Waterview is pretty open. Very forgiving off the tee. Buffalo Creek is a nicer course but quite a bit tighter.

Woodbridge isn't a bad option either and it's easy to get a tee time.

Good track as long as it hasn't rained recently. That place can be a swamp.

I live in between Waterview and Woodbridge. I'm actually a member at Woodbridge but I play Waterview over Woodbridge.

It is easy to get a tee time because Woodbridge has fallen on tough times and really only pushes for membership not course management.

Almost every tee box is dirt, yup dirt. Tee box on hole #8 (a par 4) has now been turned into a par three because all the tee boxes are all dirt with no grass at all. The greens on most holes have recently been replaced but are back to being awful. They claim it is the rain we have received, however I think the course doesn't drain very well at all.

I would not play Woodbridge for a while.

My recommendation is to play Pecan Hollow if you can, then Waterview. If you want to go to their sister course Buffalo Creek, do that as well. Fire Wheel Bridges is 3 really good 9-Hole courses that are usually in pretty good shape.

Does the landfill adjacent to the course still spew toxic fume?

Pretty meh. In that vicinity, I'd go Pecan Hollow followed by Sherrill Park #1 or Firewheel Bridges

Started senior district tourney -5 thru 3 and ended up shooting 38/40 haha.

First freshman varsity tourney shot +2.

Wouldn't recommend the course as a go to but have lots of memories out there.

Did you go to Rowlett HS? If so, what year?
