Hate to say it but they choked. They didn't perform well in stroke play over the last 2 tournaments. They would have advanced in match play yesterday if it wasn't for missing some very short putts(easy 2 putts). I've noticed as a whole, the team drives the ball pretty well and is usually farther down the fairway than the other teams. They better work on their short game going into the spring.

I thought Slaughter had Ganne but couldn't close it out.

Haven't they been playing without some of the team members who have been in international competitions? This is without a doubt the best program on campus.

That 3-putt on the last hole by Slaughter was heartbreaking

The 3 putt on 17 that would have ended it was worse. It was a very short par putt. She then imploded on 18 hitting 2 into the water to allow extra holes.

Cernousek was missing yesterday. It's a bit worrisome that there have been choke jobs on short putts over the last 2 tournaments by 2 different players right at the end that cost the team. Cernousek missed a very short putt(3 putted) on 18 at the Stephens Cup that would have won her the individual and had the team advance to match play. The team went home and she lost in extra holes to the Texas girl. We saw what happened with Slaughter yesterday. That stuff gets in your head. I also saw Nixon miss about a 2 foot putt yesterday. This tells me that they have a putting problem. If you watch Stanford and Wake Forrest(they are on TV all of the time), their girls seem to be automatic from 5 feet and in.

Women's tennis can make an argument as the best program on campus as well. Both are potential national champs this year.

Zoe's miss on 17 was heartbreaking especially after she had the best lag putt of anyone in the field, including the men, to that pin. We had two of our best players not there yesterday and still almost made the finals.

I walked with Cernousek two days in May at Grayhawk during match play. She missed a short one to put the stranglehold on the texas girl. She strikes me as a kid with a short memory. We're not even to spring. yet so i think it's early to worry. Chadwell has been really strong and seems to get them to peak at the right time.

No Cata or Adela as they were in UAE for a Women's Am event. Still had Stanford dead to rights yesterday with missed putts killing us. Great to see Lana come from 4 down to have a chance on 17 to tie match but came up short. As noted - spring is where it happens and these invitationals against the best teams in the country and match play experience is invaluable come April/May.

Jennie took it out on her opponent today. 9 and 8. 1 hole away from a max win (excluding hole penalties that rarely occur)
