For sure! I can see that 2 of the 3 I posted above have been used, one of these should still work:

  • THYW3-N44NM-7NHXX-KT437-EFMCY
  • 3RAFM-M69RG-MPXTG-PEX3E-HJRAH

I played 2 holes this morning, i do not have an attachment but putting was super hard or i suck at putting.

Swinging was pretty easy, hardest part for me was not feeling the clubhead. I am sure it gets easier

There's a slight learning curve when it comes to getting your "VR legs". When I first started playing I couldn't break 100 on Amateur mode but only a few weeks later I was probably ~30 strokes better.

If anyone in here is an Austin golfer, the Alpine and the Cliffs courses are based on the Jimmy Clay and Roy Kizer munis. The holes are the same but the environment is just a little bit different

I find chipping and, even more so, putting extremely difficult on this game. Any tips on this? I would probably have a 0 handicap on this game otherwise.

Sure, is there anything specific about either that you're having issues with?

I'd recommend starting a practice round, going into settings, making sure you're on Physics V2, and then clicking the "Swing" option on the menu. Go through the swing calibration process, and then spend a little time adjusting the sliders for chipping/putting until you're happy with the feel.

Any other codes remaining? I got this for my kids, but played yesterday with the swing stick attachment. It is hard for me and still learning. It is fun though. My kids love the top golf part.

Hard part for me is truely aiming. The left/right adjustments are too large when you want to play slice/hook with the wind.

If anyone fellow Aggies want to add a friend and play sometime my account on there is same name as Texags handle.

Absolutely!

47F6X-77794-GM97K-CQR4F-PQXTC

should be unused. Let me know if that one doesn't work.

Regarding aiming, are you using the controller to turn? You can also just set up aimed right/left to get it on a specific starting line. I play a big cut in the game so I'm always aiming a decent bit left of the target

On chipping u just need to learn the feel. Ibhad 10 yard chios thatvwent 70+ yards.

Do you usually onky go to 8 oclock or a full swing just slowerr?

When I enter code it says "You have purchased this item before."

That mean I have the course already? Thanks.

Played multiplayer earlier and it was fun. Could see getting online with friends/family for friendly competition on this.

I tend to dead arm as much short game stuff as possible. I don't use a controller attachment, and the tracking is very sensitive to wrist movement. I've found I can keep the distance under control when I use as little hinge as possible. I also can't recommend enough going into the swing settings and adjusting the short game feel sliders until you find something you're comfortable with.

Sorry I misunderstood earlier, I think I have you taken care of now. Multiplayer is a ton of fun and I've found that our game is a great way to stay connected with friends / family and still get to scratch a bit of that golf itch. My best friend who I golfed with IRL all the time moved across the state so our virtual rounds together have gone way up. I've also had some great in-game moments with my dad who barely gets to get out on the real course these days, but this lets us run through a couple 18s together whenever we want.

To share one more story, his dad had planned a big trip for the family to go out and scratch Pebble Beach off our bucket list. COVID hits around the time we were going to get out there and our trip got postponed indefinitely. Fast forward a few years and his dad is in poor health and has gone from playing 54 holes a week to zero. I loaded him into our VR Pebble Beach and it was kind of an emotional moment for all of us standing there on the box at #7 taking it all in knowing that was as close as we could possibly get to actually being there like we had planned.

Golf is such a great vehicle for spending time with others and one of the big drivers behind the development of the game is the desire to present as many people as possible an opportunity to get bit by the golf bug and have the chance to create those memorable moments.

I dont see a short game i seee putting chipping etc. Do i just move that to softer feel until chios go as expected?

Also, if i buy Pebble beach and play multi player with BIL can we play Pebble if he doesn't have the course?

Sorry for the late response here - two more game keys:

  • HKYEN-PHYXM-63YWR-RFPAX-MQ93H
  • 9AP3R-EA9GY-CHJ7M-7YT9K-K9ACE

Just as a heads up I won't be able to generate any more keys for this thread, however if you shoot me a PM I may still be able to get you sorted.

Correct! Those are the sliders I'm talking about. Everyone just has different feels when it comes to shots around the green, so mess with those sliders until you get dialed in for what you would expect. I'm a bit softer with putter but a bit firmer with chipping.

Yes, only one person in the group needs the course and they can host a multiplayer game for friends even if the friends don't have that course. Other ways to play courses you don't own include participating in the weekly GOLF+ Tour events or joining public games.

The codes were for redeeming copies of GOLF+, sorry if my initial post was unclear!

Finally ordered a Quest 3, should arrive before the snow and ice comes through on Monday! If it's still OK, I'll send you a PM for a code when it arrives.

Sitting at a little over 2.2M total attempts, with an average of ~1,500 swings per ace. Definitely a grind just like the real Jersey Jerry experienced last week

Lets go. Aced it with a Lob wedge, threw it past the hole and spun it back

Hole in one on #4 at Pebble Beach. Guess I need to move back a tee box and take it off Novice mode.

This is the controller attachment (Handle? Extension? Shaft?) I'm using. It makes a big difference in realism and results. The two thinner circular weights are 50g each. They can be removed to decrease the swing weight a bit. The lightest setting is just under 500g total weight with the controller attached. For comparison, my 7i is 466g. However, I thought the feel was better with both 50g weights installed. It does feel a lot like swinging a real club. Here are some pics:

The controller is completely locked in and secure in this thing. No worries at all about it accidentally flying out during a full speed swing. (My swing speed is about 95 with a driver both IRL and in Golf+.) The grip is fine, but I'll probably regrip it myself with something better. I think a Golf Pride MCC+4 Align midsize would be perfect.

I use a swing stick too, but a different version. For those fellow TexAgs users playing, please add me (same user name as TexAgs).

We could do some multiplayer games online. I really like the match play when everyone can play at once vs waiting and watching everyone hit. Also closet to the pin in multiplayer is fun too.

Today's daily tournament on Golf+ is at Pebble Beach. According to the directions at https://www.vrgolfbag.com/gplusguide?, playing the daily seems like the easiest way to setup a multiplayer game at a time that everyone can agree on. I have the PB course, so I can host. and post the link here. Anyone interested in playing later today?

If we all want to play you can create mutiplayer online in private or public. Those can be fun if you get a group on at the same time. You can pick which courses, and style games to play.

Bumping this thread with some news regarding some recent updates!

Since the last post we've released five new courses: Riviera CC, Bay Hill, Harbour Town, Quail Hollow, and my new favorite course Muirfield Village. We've also expanded the GOLF+ TOUR to include daily tournaments that are accessible straight from the main menu. They've been a big hit so far with thousands of players jumping in each day across all skill levels.

Here's an album with a few screenshots of the latest course drops.

If anyone happens to be on the fence about jumping into the VR golf world I'm happy to answer any questions. We're also actively hiring a UI / UX designer, so if you know anybody who is passionate about golf with a background in design please feel free to send them my way!

What headset and other equipment runs the game best? I know you've answered that before but technology can change rather quickly.
