Anyone volunteered in the past? I signed up today and wanted to see if anyone had some experiences to share.

Not the Houston Open, but I was a walking scorer at the BMW at Medinah in 2019. Had DJ, Justin Rose and Webb Simpson in my group in the second. I thought it was fun.

Had to do a training session and then the pro-am to practice. Had Mark Leishman in the pro-am. We had a good car discussion.

I think it is worth doing at least once.

I volunteered as a marshal for two years at the MatchPlay...inside the ropes is very cool and I was on 14 the drive-able par 4 so I got to hear a lot of the player/caddie talk which I find interesting.

Definitely worth doing once.

As a committee chair I am biased, but it is a great tournament to volunteer for. They do a lot for volunteers that most tournaments, or organizations for that matter, do not. Lots of fun and well worth your time. Just remember with the new dates this year it falls on Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

I figure I watch it every weekend it would be neat to spend some time inside ropes for 3/4 days.

I was assigned to Competition Support Shotlink Mobile Spotter. Job title seems pretty self-explanatory.

We are still looking for volunteers for the 2024 event! Would love to have good Ags, especially TexAgs, represented well out there. March 25th-31st at Memorial.
