What's your favorite Vegas Golf Course? Best value?

Ive played wolf-paiute, revere-lexington, and chimera. Looking to play two in a couple weeks.

Probably wont be cascata or shadow creek

Wolf creek in mesquite is probably my favorite course, if you are willing to drive to mesquite.

They just announced that Shadow Creek's green fee is going up again... from $1000 to $1250.

Best value (plus convenience) might be Las Vegas National. It's just a very short distance from the strip, and I played it a few weeks ago for just $49. It's an old course, it used to host a PGA event, it has a lot of character.

I found best value in Vegas golf is to drive to St. George Utah and play them all.

Yep, they quoted me $1,250 and have to be on a MGM property

and they still sell out their few open spots

Damn, $1250! Do you get the blow job before or after the round? Or do you get to pick?

Only 2 course I would pay $1,250 to play. Augusta and Cypress Point.

One that doesn't get as much run around here that I have enjoyed is Bear's Best out west of town near Summerlin. Especially if you're talking value, I think it over delivered. Granted this was at the price a couple years ago now, and also was a mid week round.

If I had the time though, I would just drive to Paiute over it.

Every course in Vegas is a "value" course because it keeps me away from the tables for 5+ hours. $1250 is a bargain.

Seriously though and gambling degenerates aside I would say my number one value course is Bears Best (Club Corp). When I first joined club corp I could get green fees for $35 and rental clubs were free. I think everyone and their mother found out and they started restricting play and brought the cart fees way up for out of town members. Still, $150 cart fee its a great course with great views.

My second favorite value course is Bali Hai at the end of the strip. It is what it is. It's a small compact course at the end of a runway but its close, it's fun and it's not that expensive. Usually in pretty good shape.

Any of the Paiute courses are typically awesome and since they're on a reservation they don't care about water bills so the courses are always plush. And you're in the middle of no where which is nice for sceneries but sucks for getting back to the strip. Plenty of Ubers out there but very few willing to come get you. We had to pay a local to drive us back.

Revere is great with great views but nothing memorable other than a lot of blind shots.

If you want immaculate conditions go for the Wynn. It's similar to Bali Hai except a lot more exclusive, expensive and way better conditioned.

There was a scandal way back when where an Augusta member was "selling" guest rounds for $10,000. He had numerous takers.

Yep I noticed the rates too. Just a few years ago it was priced much more nicely! Either way, I would play it again.

Whether you have a car or not plays a big role in what is or is not a "value" course.

My itinerary for vegas

Used VIPgolfservices.com to book it all through. Excited to try out new courses.. apparently paiute has been hit hard by the floods recently.

indeed -- also, anytime you can tell your buddy "just hit over the top of that mountain and it'll land right in the middle of the fairway on the other side" makes for a fun round

Welp Vegas golf trip has been cancelled. MGM ****ed up enough that we dont even wanna go. Weve decided to go on the Texas Circuit this week and play some nice golf courses. Have booked Lost Pines on thursday and Quarry on Friday. Any other recommendations in the hill country area?

Skip the quarry. JW is nice. laCantera was nice but lost some greens and the Palmer course is now closed.

Canyon Springs is pretty fun.

Try Vaaler Creek in Blanco.

Go out to the Bandit in new Braunfels.

So playing next month - based on this thread and not breaking the bank, what would you prefer if had to pick 2 - and not an hour from the strip
Bears Best
Bali Hai
Coyote Springs
Reflection Springs

Is Badlands still decent?
watty

I've played all 4 of those. Hard to pick 2. Bali Hai is my least favorite course of the 4, but it's soooo convenient and I love the fact that it's right by the strip and the airport and there are no houses. So I do like that.

Bear's Best is pretty great. Coyote Springs is too. And the other, I assume you mean Reflection Bay? That's pretty awesome as well.

I'd probably go Coyote Springs and... coin flip between Bear's and Reflection.

Not an hour from the strip and Coyote Springs shouldn't be in the same sentence.
