Playing a goat pasture track tomorrow to hang out with some buddies. With the weather as hot and dry as it's been, I'm sure this course is going to be pretty rough.

Myself and one of the other guys are respectable golfers (consistently low-to-mid 80s), one guy is usually low-to-mid 90s, and the fourth guy is dogsh*t. We would normally play Wolf with this group, but I just don't think the course is gonna be decent enough to take it seriously, so we're just going to have a good time.

Anyone have any good golf drinking games to play on the course? We're not trying to get wasted and make an ass of ourselves. Just something to have fun and make it competitive for a variety of skill levels.

with that level of golfer we normally do something like...

-make a birdie or par-take a shot/chug beer

kinda depends on how much u want to drink or how good you are playing

Could be like hit the fairway or get a sandy or three putt things. Like create punishments or rewards based on things. For the super high handicap guy you could make things double.

Also could play a 2 man scramble

Something I just thought of doing was maybe 2-man scramble (or wolf) in 3-hole increments. Loser shotguns a beer. Wanna make it fair for the higher handicap guy, and want to space out the drinks.

That's a great idea. Move around the teams. Loser guy worst case 6 shotgunned beers

You will need four 750ml bottles of whiskey. Each of you take a 1.5 ounce shot on each tee box. You will finish the bottle on 18, although you won't remember it. Ask me how I know this.

1) Skins game. Unlimited mulligans provided you shotgun a beer before playing the redo. Beware of selling out to win a hole early because it will catch up to you later in the round.

and/or

2) If you win a hole outright you can designate another person to shotgun a beer on the next tee. If you win with a birdie or better you can designate two people, or one person to drink two beers.

Feel free to incorporate strokes in either game as appropriate.

this round has all the hallmarks of a "buy 6 beers per cart and have another 18 between the two bags per cart and drink as much as you can as fast as you can." Hilarity will ensue and memories forgotten will be made.

One shot of fireball eliminates one stroke.

Didn't know drinking on the course required a structured game.

We ended up playing Wolf but divided the round into six 3-hole segments. Fewest points after three holes shotguns a beer, ties included.

You had the option to go blind lone wolf and the three others had to shotgun one on the tee box before teeing off. If you shank your drive as lone wolf and want to buy back in to picking a partner, you have to shotgun one on the tee box as well. If you keep the blind lone wolf, loser of that hole (team of three or lone wolf) shotguns a beer.

All in all we each had 8-10 beers. Had a good buzz without getting completely hammered, and kept it competitive so sh*t talking was at a premium. Our high handicapper chipped one in to win a hole and vibes were at an all-time high. 10/10 would recommend this game.

It doesn't. But we preferred it in this case to keep it interesting.

every empty in your cart is good for one stroke off your total
