Anybody have any recommendations, tips, pointers...golf/food/travel related?

Playing all the courses (some twice) later this week

It's only on site stuff like believe. Very good though.

If anyone smokes or dips load up before you get there as the nearest gas station seems like 30 minutes away.

Everything is on-site but you can shoot skeet, fish and golf there.

As far as the tips, listen to the caddie and have fun.

One of the great things about Streamsong is that once you arrive, you leave everything behind. As others have said bring everything you think you might want.

Will be curious to see how you rank the courses. Most of my friends would say Red/Blue/Black. I am Tom Doak fan so I put Blue first.

Black was relatively new when I was there, but it was wide open. Take driver and let it go. May have changed as the course has matured, but that is my tip for you. Oh, and don't go in the water. Lots of gators.

When is the new course supposed to be ready?

No laying up guys did a thing with Cam Smith at Streamsong a couple of years ago they may be worth taking a look at on YouTube.

So this is on our list for our annual golf trip with our buddies. If we don't go next year it will likely be the year after. It's just a question if we go to whistling straits first. For those of you that have gone a few questions:
How far in advance did you book?
Did you use some sort of booking agent?
How big was your group (we're at least 10 if not 12+)?
On our golf trips we typically get a really huge house so we can all stay in one place. Is that an option there or are we looking at condos?

Red course is most challenging and has the most water

Black is most fun with blind shots and big greens

Blue course was my least favorite but still fun

So I went to SS the year after it opened - only 2 courses. BUT it is 30 minutes from any place you might find a house to rent. It's the remains of a massive phosphate mine so a ways from anywhere.

It's hard to put into words how far into the middle of nowhere Streamsong is. I highly doubt there are any large houses close by to rent.

They do have 12 rooms above the red and blue course clubhouse that you can reserve. It has its own little man cave with pool table, TVs, etc. I would guess you have to reserve that a decent amount ahead of time. Our group will definitely be staying there next time.

Next Monday I am going to drive down from Tampa to Naples for some work and thought I would take the detour through and play the Red course. Its always a little bittersweet playing these top courses without my friends and just strangers, but really excited to finally see the course

I think the par 3 "Chain" is open now as well.

Red is a for sure a bigger more challenging course but Black was my favorite....if u have time for 36

Sadly the chain is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays in the summer.
