If he comes up lame in the next week or two, I'll volunteer to fly over and caddy for Sam at the Masters in his place. Just saying...

Brian Kortan details exciting upcoming weeks for A&M men's golf
Brian Kortan and the Texas A&M men's golf team have a busy couple of weeks ahead as they go off to Florida for the Valspar Collegiate before coming home for the Aggie Invitational. After that, Kortan will accompany Sam Bennett in the 2023 Masters at Augusta National.
Key notes from Brian Kortan interview
- Middle of spring. We’re heading into our final stretch before the Floridian, and then we come home and have a break before the postseason starts.
- Young guys have played well for us. We tend to rely on William Paysse, Sam Bennett and Daniel Rodrigues. They have been a little more inconsistent than we want to be. Jaime Montojo has put a lot of good rounds for us on the road. He shot good scores. He is a talented guy and fun to be around.
- Everybody handles things differently. Sam Bennett has a lot on his plate. Some of his golf, he hasn't been happy with. It’s hard to keep him engaged when he looks toward the future. Postseason, he will be locked in.
- I will be caddying for Sam Bennett at the Masters. We will go play a couple of rounds prior. I will get to see Augusta firsthand. He will play the reigning British amateur champion and then catch up with the team in Florida. Then, we have a couple of weeks before the Masters.
- I have great assistants. I will sleep well knowing the Aggies are fine while I am gone. We win golf tournaments and enjoy them for 20 minutes, and then I’m worried about how to win the next one.
