Interesting to see how distance helps

1) get a handicap that carries from one course to another.

Right now, I carry a good handicap at my home course, but when I get outside of that I struggle. It's not that my course is easy, it's just that I have become familiar enough with it about how to make it around with a decent score even if I'm not playing well. Probably need to start playing another course once a month.

Fitzpatrick is a completely different player now thanks to his speed training.

Break par. I've been even or close many times but just can't get under. I play at about 3-5 handicap but also only play about 7 months of the year hang it up for hunting and ski season. So I have to "start over" each april

Get down to a 5 or less handicap. Currently sitting at a 14.8. I did get down to a 7 about 10 years ago but really haven't played the past 4 years. Getting back into it now.

Goal this year is to finally break 80. Took about a 10 year break from Golf but I started getting back into it year before last and I'm getting better. Got back under 90 last year and this year the goal is under 80.

Make my iron play a strength - start taking lessons.

Maintain scratch (currently 1.2) - Once my team's season is over I'll have 2 months before I take 3.5 weeks.

Win an MGA event (1st time joining at my course. Been keeping a handicap around 2 years now if I remember correctly and a member for 6 years).

Snag another hole in one! (shoot for the stars, why not?)

Post a personal best of 66 or lower at home course (elsewhere welcome as well)

Track stats (I'm terrible at this) and improve putting to maintain + handicap all year.
Currently +1.2 and I'd like to see a 2023 low handicap of +2.2 or better.
Put up a new low round of 65 or better.

The goal this year is to break 75.

Another goal is to win at least a major and make it to the final four in the playoff cup. My buddies and I started a 12-man golf tour around the Greater Houston area for fun. We're calling it the "Houston Roughneck" Tour. We're having 12 tournaments spread out from March to the beginning of September that includes 4 majors, a scramble, 3 playoff tourneys, and an individual/team format.

Get back below 5 this year. I had shoulder surgery in March 2022 and now my other shoulder is acting up. Might be a stretch!

Longer term goal is to shoot my age before I turn 70. I have four years to accomplish that!

My Goal is to get back to single digit Handicap. Got as low as an 8 in 2001, and now a 13.4 at age 54. Improved Golf Fitness and Course Management are my main avenues for reaching the single digits in my opinion.

Just finished my 2nd of the year. Think I paid 400ish for a 4-pack of 45-minute lessons.

I started playing golf at age 33 back in late 2020. I'm down to a 20.3 and my goal this year is break 90 3 times. My lowest score to date is 92.

This. I started playing last year again and my best round is a 97. Played a bit in college but not seriously.

At it with 3 rounds so far all in the 103-115 range.

Edit: also any Ags in Houston that want to play or even better are around Sugar Land that want to play sometime dm me.

Hdcp floats around a 10/11. I would like to get back to single digits and stay there.

No idea how I will get there with zero practice and minimal rounds per month outside the summer time.

9 hole score in the 30's. Same goal as last year.

Finally did it today! 39 on the front 9 at Battleground.
Had to wait on the tenth tee box for a group of old fat white guys and tallied it up. Joked with the guy I got paired with that this is when it all goes to hell. Yeah, it wasn't a joke. Hit two in the water on ten and shot 51 on the back. Oof.

Should this go in the love golf or F golf?

Goal was under 5 HC

After the streamsong trip I dropped from 6.9 to 4.1

77 on Blue
77 on Black
81 on Red
73 on Blue
70 on Red

Let's try to keep it up on my home course which traditionally kicks my ass

Haha, it's been a brutal year. I did a complete overhaul of my swing. Was all the way up to a 6, I'm back ar a 2 and trending down.

Goal is to get back to a +2, but honestly hate being a +, scratch is the sweet spot.

Also switched to PXG........they're badass.

My three goals are to break 80 for the first time, birdie 18 different holes at my home course (we have 36), and get down from a 13.7 index at the start of the year to a 9.9 by the end of August when I go play Kapalua. I was a 10.7 last October.

Shot an 83 today with two doubles and a triple while also missing two birdie putts inside 8 feet. My ball striking has never been better than it is right now and my putting has never been worse.

Played competitive golf most of my life. Walked away from the game about 10 years ago, haven't practiced and played maybe 20+/- times since. Have a co-worker who is scratch/+ and obsessed. He wants me to play US Four-ball and some other regional tournaments with him. He convinced me to reestablish my amateur status, which I have done.

My goal is to get out there and play a few tournaments without the pressure I once carried and see what happens. Mentally, it will be tough to be mediocre compared to the player I used to be, but I guess I get to learn to stretch that muscle this time around.

+ hcp is a stretch goal for the year.

First competitive tournament today in 10 years. 74 t-3, to qualify for Dallas Am at Trinity Forest.

12 rounds in for the year and down to 0.4. Getting some feel back. Good to grease the tires today.

Cedar Crest greens are absolutely gone again, btw.

Broke my goal of 85 by shooting an 81. 13 pars, 1 bogey, 4 doubles. 3 lost balls with one being a tee shot OB. So close to breaking 80 but one goal at a time. 80 is next.
