Don't buy either one of those box sets.
You're better off getting a pre-owned set of Game Improvement categorized irons from any major OEM...along with a 3-5 year old Driver and FW woods.
If I had to point you somewhere I'd point you to PING G series...going all the way back to G15s to present.
Agree on the G series irons. They are damn near indestructible.
For the OP I would look for the following:
Driver: Something high loft with a regular flex shaft. Callaway, Ping, and Taylormade would be where I would start.
Wood: I would go 5 wood, but three works here as well. Same advice as above for the brands.
Hybrid: I would look for at least a 4 and maybe a 5 hybrid. So much easier to hit than long irons
irons: Any major OEM SGI or GI iron works here. I am partial to ping g series. look for something 5-AW, SW, LW
Wedges: I would skip specialty wedges. Although wouldn't be opposed to a single cavity backed 56 like the cleveland CBX or mack daddy CB
Putter: Go to the golf store and see what fits you eye. I would lean mallet.
Be careful with ebay as there are a lot of fakes floating around. Depending on where you live there are great places to look for used clubs. Callaway pre-owned is my go-to for good deals online.
