Just noticed it on my way home, right off 290 next to Costco in the shopping center where Toasted Yolk is at. I know nothing about Golf Tec other than they give indoor golf lessons .

I enjoyed it. Highly dependent on instructor

I thought I read that they reach the same swing, philosophy, mechanics across all instructors.

my guy definitely showed what the golftec philosophy was for certain things, and his own thoughts as well.

They definitely have certain data points they try to get you into, but if you have a good instructor, they'll compensate.

I was thinking about going there for a driver and iron fitting once I improved my swing enough to deserve custom clubs.

This is my experience as well. They'll want you to get a certain amount of hip and shoulder turn but I wouldn't say they try to fit you in to a particular "swing " or philosophy. I've had great results at 2 different locations.

I would not. One could make an argument for their instruction, but with the other options available for club fitting, I see absolutely no reason to go here for equipment.

Maybe you're thinking about Club Champion?

sounds like they are instructing for distance, almost like that is what 95% of weekend golfers want most of all.

My son, Caleb, teaches at Golftec in The Woodlands. Hit him up. Former state champion and played collegiately at McNeese State.

I've taken lessons from your son! My game has improved a lot!

We always talk A&M football every time I go.

I go to GolfTec for lessons and they do a good job teaching fundamentals. So for me it's perfect, downside is the price at about $80 for 30 mins or $160 for 60mins. Also I've been to several places to get fitted, from big box stores to Club Champion. If you can afford Club Champion do yourself a favor and go to Impact Precision in Spring Tx. They bar far are the best place in Houston to get fitted. I could go into more detail if CC vs IP but the downside to both is the price you'll pay for each club. Expect to spend around $800 for a driver set up regardless of your skill level.
