We used Perry Golf this time. Previously we have used Haversham and Baker.

10 days but 2 are travel days

Better than me, I've got about 4 more months of knee recovery.

Guess I'll just be reading more golf books, watching it on TV, and checking out pics from threads like this.

I'm going to Scotland the first week in August. Was supposed to go last year, but Covid. Playing The Old Course, Carnoustie, Castle Course , Jubilee, and Kingsbarns, and a couple of others.

Renaissance Club this morning
Wind was supposed to 20 mph...well they were wrong. Winds at 40 mph and gusting over 50 mph.

What an awesome course...great track.

Quick lunch then headed to Musselburgh to play the oldest course in the world. We played with hickory shafted clubs....it was interesting lol

The course is located inside a horse track

The house below is the first "halfway house"...players would stop in at this home and the last that lived there would fix tea/coffee and food for the players

Musselburgh is also the course that started the standard size golf hole of 4.25 inches

Holes criss-cross on the back 9 a bit
Loved this course and our caddies were great

#17 is the oldest hole in championship golf

Ailsa course is/was in the Open rota
Championship style course, it's big and absolutely gorgeous. Trump bought it and re-did it, everyone liked everything he changed. He bought the light house and turned it into a halfway house...wrote a cool 50 million dollar check for it

Royal Troon this morning

More of an Irish style course, more narrow, more bunkers, and lots of gorse...everywhere. It sits right next to Prestwick basically
