I've had one experience not great, but thinking about a 2nd shot. What are y'all's thoughts, and any other fitting places?

Had a terrible experience in SA with them.

Had done a putter fitting a couple of years ago. They had my specs so I ordered a Sik Flo C putter last February '21 thru them and took 3 months to get it to me, it wasn't right. The putter (alignment wise) felt wrong. I do not know if I bent the shaft putting in my vehicle, asked for a black shaft, they built it with a chrome shaft....I was so pissed by the lack of communication and time it took to deliver. That I picked it up and left without checking it. But when I starting putting with it - something was off.

Had to take it to MK Golf in SA (great guys btw, super knowledgeable) to get it checked out, the lie was off, the shaft was bent forward a little - wasn't forward press, but it was going in that direction.

MK Golf ended up replacing the shaft with a Stability shaft and love it.

TLDR - done with Club Champion.

I bought a set of irons from them a couple years ago. Was relatively new to golf at the time and didn't understand the importance of a fitting so didn't try out a lot of clubs or ask a lot of questions. The staff is great though and have never had a bad experience buying clubs from them since. Pretty timely delivery but that was before all the supply chain issues

Stay as far away from them as possible.

Use MK Golf in San Antonio or Impact Precision in Houston.

The fittings with PXG are amazing. Wish the others were as detailed....

I think it depends on the fitter. Club Champion is slow to deliver equipment that you order though. I've fitted at a bunch of different places and had a pretty good experience with club champion. PXG fitting is a nice experience, but my fitter there was way less knowledgeable than the one I had at CC.

True. I can only speak to the guy that myself and other family members have used.

I've used Club Champion by Memorial City on two occasions and came away pleased with both the service and the clubs I was fitted for.

I've done Club Champion and they're fine for fitting but you're absolutely nuts if you're ordering from them.

Their equipment prices are incredibly overpriced. It's price gouging as far as I'm concerned. If you end up there just get fitted and print your spec sheet out and piece it together yourself and have someone else build it.

Or skip all that hassle and go to Impact Precision. They're phenomenal and I will no longer go anywhere else.

Can confirm on the slow to deliver part. Buddy got fitted and ordered from CC and 2 weeks later I got fitted and ordered from Impact Precision. I've had my irons for a month and a half. He got his this week. They kept screwing him around telling him parts were in, they'd be ready in a week, etc. That went on for over a month before he got them.

I also think they fitted him into something he's going to hate. What they recommended made absolutely no sense.

I'll have to give Impact a try when I do my fairway woods. I live around the corner from Club Champion but I like what I've read on here and reviews about Impact.

I got fitted for a driver at Impact and liked it. Wish there was a nice place that was outdoors though.

It took about 30 minutes and he let me hit whatever I wanted for the rest of the hour since it didn't take that long.

Ask for Major.

Major did both my fittings too. Great guy.

If Major is the large guy then he did mine. Cool dude and we actually talked bout TexAgs since I told him that's where I heard about y'all. Called us a cult but it think he's a Tech grad so jokes on him.

Impact. I think all three guys are SHSU alum. I told them I had heard about them through TexAgs. Love my new clubs.

Got fitted with Major at Impact Precision. Crazy to see 13-15mph increase in ball speed with current clubs versus what he fit me for. It was a great experience overall. I was told I should have the irons in about 4 weeks.

I had a great experience at Club Champion in SA. Just looked on the Titleist website and the exact driver i ordered from CC (TSi3/Ventus Blue) is $26 cheaper direct from Titleist. And if i hadn't ordered from CC, i would have had to pay $175 for the fitting.

I just booked a trip out to the Titleist Performance Institute in San Diego. Bit of a trip but there are worse places to travel too and I've heard its an awesome experience.

Well, I bit the bullet and did it. I recommend Joel at CCG in Ft Worth. My irons are the 1st Gen Taylormade Burners. I got "fitted" at PGA Superstore in Plano, I think it was in 2009. Not to be a male chauvinist but I got a female "fitter" which consisted of her bringing me different irons to hit. Settled on the Burners. They had to have them built so I got them a few weeks later.
We discovered at the CCG fitting that my burners were 1" longer than standard. Why? Who knows. I had finally figured out after playing with them for years that I hit them better if I choke up on them. Makes sense now.
The data that Trackman spits out is overwhelming, interesting, cool, etc… I geeked out on it.
The shafts are definitely the X factor. Stock shafts are cheap crap. Joel found the right one for me by analyzing the data. Wound up getting Callaway Apex irons. Kept my Sim II Max driver but getting a different shaft, Rouge 3 metal, and a Ping Hybrid. Replaced my Callaway Mack Daddy 56 and 60 wedges with a 54 and 58 Cleveland Zipcores. Can't wait to get them. Gonna be a long 6 week wait, but I believe it will be worth it.

My clubs will arrive today, 2 weeks to the day!

They must be slow right now, and everything I got was in stock.

Playing in a 3 person scramble this weekend. I hope I get to hit some practice balls with them this afternoon.
There's no way I can NOT play with them this weekend.
