It's funny you should mention this.

Because of this thread, I texted my dad saying that we ought to take his RV on a father son golf trip to Lajitas for a few days.

He said that he likes the idea but given gas prices, it would be better if we could find some place closer.

I grew up in that general neighborhood and it's hot as hell but it has nothing on Houston from late May - September. You can at least catch your breath out there.
