Anybody in the Houston area played it recently? Have never played it myself but have always heard mixed reviews. Worth the $95 green fee?

I think it's worth playing, especially if you haven't played it before. That said, it's not anywhere near my favorite course.

Kind of what we're leaning towards. High Meadow is/was our safe option for the weekend, but have been wanting to give Augusta Pines a shot.

It doesn't get a ton of love around here but it's as good as any other public option in the the area (and there are quite a few). They aren't cheap (who is these days?) and had to re-sod fairways a few years ago, which may be the reason for lack of endorsement on this board.

Haven't been in almost a year so can't comment on current condition. No doubt I'll end up playing it again in the not too distant future. Have friends that play there regularly.

You should play Cypresswood Tradition course. Much better and a little cheaper.

Is it as good as the other Augusta?
