Anyone a member at Holly tree in Tyler? I'm joining next month and wanted to see if any other AGs were members. I started playing golf in august of last year. Game is slowly coming together. Shot a 98 at Holly tree last weekend with lots of lost strokes on the green.

I've been a member there for about six months now. You need to make sure to join the MGA. We need some more high handicappers like myself.

whats the MGA?

The Mens Golf Association. They organize all the tournaments and keep track of the handicaps. It's a lot more fun than playing with the same guys every week.

Not to derail you guys thread. I've never been to Tyler but may be going soon. Invited to play the Cascades. Is it nice?

It's pretty nice. It just sold and the clubhouse has been closed since the freeze. It may be open now but I know a lot of the members were pissed they didn't fix it. The beer is cheap but they're pretty strict about bringing your own which is a bummer.

Theyve held the Texas state open there the last few years but it's moving to Willowbrook this year

It's a fun layout and usually in really good shape! Worth a trip. If you want another 18 at willow brook let me know
