Anyone ever played this course? I'm going to be there this weekend.

Is that steakhouse in graford still a good spot? We used to go there after we played basketball against them. '05-09

Sounds like my ProV1 donation to the course could be substantial! I'm playing tomorrow morning, so we'll see how it goes.

Course was in good shape. So many blind tee shots making it difficult to know what line to take or whether you should hit something less than driver. Rough was insanely thick. You often couldn't see the ball unless you got lucky enough to walk right on top of it.
That's a solid rule, I might have to adopt that for a few courses that are notorious for rough that will "eat your ball". Losing a ball in deep rough, a few yards off a fairway, is frustrating, but it's usually not worth slowing down play if everyone agrees that it settled in a relatively small area. Writing off a $4 ball to speed up play is penalty enough, especially if no one in the group is protesting. Then again, I've never played in a tournament, and I've never played for money, so my perspective might differ from purists.tamu2009 said:
Not to derail, but my group plays a "gallery" rule for this reason. There is no reason you should penalized for that in my opinion. If the group agrees that a ball was X area, we drop at the best approximate of where the ball should be and go from there.
