Just looked it up. He boycotted for a few years but returned later in his career. He regretted the boycott apparently. I'm sure he is good terms with them now

Dude won 6 majors but no green jacket. Wow

His low fade was oil and water with Augusta as a course that dictates a lot of high draws. I think he's great, but he has no business as an honorary starter

Pretty sure it is honorary starter, not honorary past winner. Therefore they can put anyone up there has honorary starter.
