Just curious on initiation and dues for this club? Does anyone know?

I have no insight but I'd guess at least 6 figures on initiation.

I have a good friend that is a member. He said $75k and $1200 a month.

Has anyone played there? I'm curious to know what the experience is like playing at such an exclusive place right at the corner of IAH...

Sidenote... that could be the most nondescript entrance to a place you'll ever find.

I've played Lochinvar. Great spot although there is definitely a lot going on right around it with IAH and Tollway If I remember right some apartments or subdivision have been built right up to the backside of the property. Aside from that piece of it the club is awesome. Nicklaus designed course. Great practice area. Very nice clubhouse with excellent locker room.

I play it quite a bit. Was out there last Friday and playing in the member guest in 2 weeks. The $75k initiation and $1200/mo is pretty close. The experience is great. There is no sign of apartments or anything unwanted while on property. You do get some pretty close flyovers from IAH. No tee times and never crowded so you can get around pretty quick out there. Little to no rules. Can play in 6 somes if you want. Fastest golf carts in town. Great place to spend a Friday afternoon.

I can't afford to be a member but I was wondering if there are guest fees? I feel like a club of that exclusivity probably wouldn't allow guests.

Guests must be invited by a member.

I was lucky enough to play a few years ago. It was nice to be in such a secluded place close to a major city. I remember to course but on the easier side, but obviously in great shape. Service was amazing as you would expect. A staff member would drive up to us, ask what we want to drink, radio it in, and have someone bring the drinks out in coolers with koozies.

Course is great. Top notch at all levels and location is awesome.

Which is the most expensive CC in the Houston area? From reading several threads about Houston CCs sounds like Lakeside might be. Probably have not read about Houston CC nor River Oaks CC.

I have a friend who is a member at Lakeside. He plays quite often at River Oaks. He is a serious golfer and thought River Oaks was too easy to play all the time.

River Oaks is $125k (I believe Houston CC is as well) and plenty difficult to play every day, especially since it was redone in 2015 and then some minor changes in the last year.

Look into what yearly assessments have been the last 10 years. Initiation doesn't always tell the full story.

I know a Lakeside members got hit recently because of Harvey flooding.

Lakeside got a big assessment due to clubhouse flooding during Harvey and Houston CC got one from clubhouse renovation.

River Oaks has had several the last few years for course renovation (2015), shoring up bayou (2019) and will soon be hit with another for full pool rebuild (2021).

I feel so poor after reading this thread.
