I'm a member. Love the course. Work on touch around the greens and chipping off tight lies. Lot of collection area run off type contours. The layout, comfort stations on #6 and #12, and overall feel make it a very enjoyable round. Par 3 course as well to enjoy which is also lit at night. Totally different greens than on course so watch that. Enjoy your time.
Immaculate condition. Fairly simple tee to green. As stated above, the main defenses are the greens and the green complexes. They do a great job of making even the guests feel very at home. It was a special day.
Agree with everyone one else on the greens being the primary defense. Another thing it took me way too many holes to figure out. It is a difficult course to bump and run on. The zoysia grass is too grippy and just gobbles them up.
I've hosted a Bluejack member a couple of times at Houston Oaks so yesterday he hosted my teenage son and me. Kid played the Tiger tees which is 7,552 yards. Not a lot of traffic on those tees I don't think. What I think the members consider the tips is 6,950. Two par 5's over 630 and two 500 yard par 4's.
He didn't have his best iron game but scratched out 80 with two doubles. He wasn't happy with the score but we did have a great day.
