Dell Match Play in Austin will not have fans. Too bad.

Gonna be interesting marshaling with no fans...so far us volunteers are still slotted to attend/work.

My wife and I were going to attend the Valero, we are disappointed for sure.

PGA only sport that is playing right now. Big ratings boost

Alright... Does the PGA cave and start canceling too? Given that the golfers are all IC's I'd be interested in getting their perspective.

honestly that's a great point and I hadn't thought of it, but I'm really interested to watch a tournament where there are no galleries and things like that to actually help the players wayward shots. It's crazy how many good breaks the pros get because of the fans and the bleachers and the trampled down rough and all that.

And the flip side of that is, I also won't be surprised at all to see everyone go really low during these rounds with no fans. I think the pressure will not be nearly as high on the players, and they'll feel much more relaxed, as if they're just playing practice rounds. But it'll be interesting to see if that holds true or not.
