Which of the two golf courses is the must play if you could only play one of them?

Theyve been sending out a number of Member for a Day specials - are they losing members or having issues?

I seem to play in a scramble there 3-4 times a year, and it never seems to be as nice as what you'd expect.

I played Pecan 3 weeks ago and it looked pretty bad overall. Traps were hard and not maintained and several greens just looked neglected.

I said Cypress in my previous post as it just seemed more fun than Pecan

Both. A buddy of mine moved from Sweetwater to Sugar Creek last year and he tells me they are bleeding members.

A Chinese investment group took over the previous ownership that was operating under the Palmer Golf label. They spent some money the first year but have pretty much stopped that and things are deteriorating.

What's your buddy think of Sugar Creek? have they finished redoing all of the 9's out there?

He's really happy with it.

I think they still have of of the 9's to go on the green replacement project but they re-did all of the bunkers after Harvey.

I've played out there once with him. I really enjoyed the course. The Men's Locker/Grill could use an updating.

Cypress is the better course.

Best friend's a member. Solid club and great courses. The bunker redo was a hastle but they handled it well. Greens are doing very well. Our summer was hell on every course in the area and all the rain lately hasn't helped. Any *****ing about anything there is unfounded, IMO. Wouldn't love to be a member.
