How long do you want to ignore this user?
So I have a gift card from Christmas that is burning a hole in my pocket and I'm looking to get a hybrid as I can't hit my 3 iron for crap as it is. Any recommendations of what y'all use/heard good reviews about?

Figured I might as well have a few in mind when I go to the store this week and swing, thanks!

what's your handicap? hybrids are as tailored these days as any other club in the bag.

This is going to sound like a joke but I have a Bang Golf 21 degree hybrid that I am absolutely killing. Great ball flight and easy to hit.

Ping g25. Easy forgiving straight.

I have a ping g25 23 degree, i may be selling but that is more of a 4 iron.

Thanks guys

And the handicap is a 14 these days so I'm not looking for top of the line stuff here, just something to help improve the long iron part of the game

Try hitting one of those Mizuno hybrids...High handicapper buddy of mine plays one pretty damn well. Can hit that thing consistently on a rope. (great ball striker with long clubs. Terrible at everything else weirdly. The drop between his long game and short game is astounding)

I like how it sets up at address and sounds on impact.

You'll probably get a number of different suggestions. Id suggest taking the time to hit various ones before you pull the trigger.

For example, I play Ping G25 irons and Ping Anser Driver, and I was sure that I would be a ping guy for hybrids/woods as well.

However when I went to club champion for fitting, the Taylormade Jet Speed came back the best for me numbers wise. I picked them up off ebay, used them for the first time this weekend, and they are significantly better than my previous ones. Im not a fan of Taylormades constant releases and marketing, but I cant deny the results.

I have had good luck with my King Cobra baffler 3 and 4 hybrids - easy to hit.

I'm looking at the TM stage 2 and titleist hybrids currently. I hit the stage 2 a little further, but seem more consistent with the titleist.

I like the feel and weight distribution on the bafflers I have hit.

just go to golfsmith (or whatever you have near you), hit a bunch of the used hybrids in the hitting bays until you find the one you like the best.

i went one saturday expecting to buy an adams and wound up buying a titleist 910h for $75. felt noticeably better than anything else i hit all day.

If you want a cheap, brand new hybrid take a look at the Cleveland Mashie. They can be had brand new for $29 at Golfsmith.

Maybe it's just luck that they match my swing but they are absolute money for me.

IMHO, go with consistent. That's what I really want from my hybrid
