Looking to start golfing a bit with my girlfriend... but I really know nothing about the equipment. I'm still in college, so looking to grab a cheap set of clubs to start with. What are some things I should look for?

Haha when I say cheap, I mean <$100. If I start playing quite a bit and enjoy it, I may upgrade... but I don't wanna drop very much money on something I may not use.

Good luck, you may find a charitable person on here. I gave my previous set away to someone like yourself on Texags who was trying to get into golf. Gotta sell these though since they're so new.

Im actually coming to college station this weekend. Do you want free clubs suitable for a beginner? Calloway x12s?

I really appreciate the offer, but I'll be out of town most of this weekend and I'd hate for you to have to haul clubs that far anyway. Thanks though!

Yeah can he leave them somewhere for you? Those are solid clubs...esp for free.

I mean if he wants to bring 'em to town and will still be there Sunday, I'd take them in a heartbeat. Just don't wanna inconvenience anybody!

If I can fly with them and my clubs, then the free package I have for you currently includes an element stand bag with working stand and rain cover, 3-pw steel shafted Callaway x12s, 56 and 52 degree Cleveland cg15 wedges, a taylormade r7 with blue grafaloy shaft and a Callaway octane tour 5 wood. Don't have a putter I can part with. I will be staying on the farm in Anderson until early Sunday afternoon.

They are yours provided you want them and I can fly with them and my clubs.

Spend your money on the seasonal summer pass for the a&m golf course if they have it still.

If you are able to fly with them, I would absolutely love to have them. I should be back in College Station sometime Saturday night so I could come get them then or Sunday morning/afternoon, whenever is easiest for you.

I do have another starter set if someone else wants it. A cobra driver, Nike muscleback knockoff brand irons, and more wedges... and another bag. Just in case someone else needed it.

Got home early today and the clubs were sitting there waiting for me. They look amazing. Thank you so much BreNay! I'll be sure and put them to good use.
