OP, out of curiosity, what did you sell them for? Thinking about making the trip out there this year, but have no idea what to expect cost wise....

I ended up getting 1500 for the pair. I got an offer for more from ebay, but ended up pulling them from there shortly into the auction, because I have heard horror stories of Augusta personnel watching ebay and Stubhub and taking away tickets that were sold on that site.
If you're looking to go for cheap, Monday or Tuesday would be your best bet.

I'm not saying you are wrong, but I would be shocked if they were paying very close attention to practice round sales. What about buyers who resell? There's too many practice tickets out there in public hands. And how do they know you is buying or selling, based on what ebay displays? Ebay is going to protect seller/buyer IDs, almost at any cost.

Now, as far as actual tournament tickets, you are probably correct. They don't like that ...

Practice round? 400-800/day, depending on the day. Tournament: 800 and up. You'll always be able to find tickets out there, but buy at your own risk. They arrest people out there for scalping near the course grounds.

I sold a Monday round for $1300 last year.

The Ebay scare rumors are bogus.

Every ticket can be traced back to the original ticket owner. I will only be an issue if the person holding the ticket breaks Masters policy...they will find the original owner and take their tickets away for life.

With that being said...If these are lottery tickets, they will not allow the lottery winner to ever win again.

I agree. If I was the original owner of the ticket, I would be VERY careful about who you sell the ticket to ...

^ Exactly...I was given practice round tickets from a Board member of Augusta National. I couldn't sell or give those tickets to anyone. I didn't even get to keep the ticket for a souvenir. People waiting outside the gate were upset with me...but if I didn't follow the rules given, I'd never get tickets again. As it is, I still get an invite.

With all that said, IF you are not the original owner of the ticket, and can get them at face value ... PLENTY of profit to be made ...
