How long do you want to ignore this user?
Any suggestions? How much should I be looking to spend a session? Has anyone tried a place like the PGA Superstore or Golf Galaxy?

Any of the Hank Haney schools are great. They are a bit more pricey ) $75-$125/hr depending on the instructor's level of proficiency. My wife gave me one lesson last year for our anniversary. In one lesson I was property swinging the club, and went from major slice to consistent straight/draw.

Sans lessons since, I redeveloped some old bad habits but once i really analyzed what i was doing, was able to correct it with what i remembered from the lesson.

How much have you played? Have you had any lessons before?

For beginners (which may not be you), I'd recommend some group lessons to start getting a feel for the game and your swing. Then I'd recommend some indoor training where your swing is on video and you are hooked up to sensors that work with the video. Golftec is one -- in North Dallas, they are in the Golfsmith store.

Been playing about 15 years on and off, and only regularly the last 5. Never had a lesson. Best honest round I've ever played I shot a 92.

I guess you could call me the prototypical casual golfer who's looking to take the sport a little more seriously.
