WP is pretty great. My only complaint is they built some ridiculous greens. The green on #11 is probably 7500 sq ft with only 3 or 4 pin positions. It is a fantastic design and I don't feel they needed the 3 or 4 really tricked up greens, that, in my opinion, detract from the layout.

The playing experience is really special.

Conditions are always fabulous and the Needler shouldn't be missed.

Apart from 11, which others would you called tricked up? I can only think of 8 as being another green with a few tiers. That's how Mr. Robertson wanted it. Big greens, but smaller landing areas.

I don't like the last par 3 on the front - 7 or 8. I understand 18, but don't agree with it. There was one other, but don't remember which it was. I've only played it twice and the last time was a year ago.

It is strictly my opinion on what I like and don't like. I think the golf course is really, really good and just didn't need some of the severity in the greens. I understand a lot of people like that, from a maintenance and playing standpoint, I don't.

In this case, the owners opinion is the most important.

The greens remind me somewhat of Flintrock Falls in Austin. It wouldn't surprise me if Chet Williams was Nicklaus's lead designer there.

Please don't misconstrue this as any kind of slight towards WP, it's just one person's tiny nitpick based on my likes and dislikes.

I was offered to come play for free the other day. All I have to do is pay for the caddie. Any idea how much that runs?

Got to play it on Masters Sunday. We warmed up with a round on the Needler which was fantastic. Could spend a whole day there! The course was in perfect condition. Our caddie said it was the best he has ever seen it. And like many have already said, the finishing holes were world class. Hoping for another invite at some point!

Man, I need better friends. Permanently looking for an invite.

I will be playing Friday and am hoping the rain holds off until later in the evening. Will be playing the Needler first. Looking forward to it.
