There is no chance that tech will go 9-2...

What 3 teams does Tech have "no chance" to beat?

UT? That's the most improbable win.
OU? Not a likely win, but it's in Lubbock and they appear to be more beatable than in years past.

Who else is probably going to beat us? atm in Lubbock? I highly doubt it. NU in Lincoln? It's possible but they still have tons of question marks and we did beat 'em by 60 last year. Okie State will be average at best.

Sure there is. There's just as much chance that Tech goes 9-2 as there is for A&M to go 9-2. If you want to think that they'll lose 4 or 5 games just because they've lost that many games in the past, the same could be said for A&M. My point is that you can't have it both ways... and saying something like that in such an absolute tone is ridiculous.

TT has a soft schedule and i see them going 9-2 at best, 8-3 worst case scenario.

I love this. Tech basing this on the arguement that we haven't won there in quite awhile, yet when we turn around and say that a 9 win season is not likely, we get called out. I think we've won in Lubbock more recently than Tech has won 9 games in a season. You can't have it one way and not the other.

No, I base that argument on the fact that I think Tech is better than atm. Your young secondary will have 8 games of experience by then, but they haven't experienced the Tech offense. And it doesn't hurt that the game is in Lubbock.

Brown, Appell, and Newtow have. Gorrer hasn't in game play that's true, but he was there last year. Jones, Singleton, and a few others have, who will rotate in for Nickel and Dime D.

The Tech logic here is great, Tbird's right. A&M won't win in Lubbock because they haven't in a while. But us arguing that Tech won't likely go 9-2 because they haven't in a while (read-1976) is completely baseless. Fascinating.

Which Tech post says that atm won't win because they haven't won in Lubbock in a while? And the debate stems from "no chance" to go 9-2. Nobody has said atm has "no chance" to win in Lubbock, although I agree that both are unlikely.

I think the reasons for thinking Tech has a good shot at 9-2 and will beat the ags are as follows:

Tech is coming off the better season.

Tech has the easier schedule.

Tech is playing at home.

Obviously it is not just Tech fans that agree with the assessment.

tceh has only beaten ou twice since 1996...

tceh hasn't won in Lincoln since the B12 started

tceh hasn't won in austin since 1997

last year tceh beat ku by 1 point

Does it mean that tceh cant go 9-2? No, does it mean they won't lose 4-5 games? Dunno
