one of my good friend's wife is in London right now.

She and my wife are friends and they are emailing each other right now.

Pretty surreal to be getting live updates from someone you know well holed up in an apartment while terrorism is going on around her.

God knows how long she will be stuck there now.

maybe this will help everyone remember exactly how dangerous these islamic fundamentalists are, but i doubt it.

it'll take another 9.11 or something even more seriously before we start taking the threat seriously.

houstontexan - I think you may be right on that too. I don't see the Brits backing down at all like Spain did - this will only increase their support for the most part.

I'm sure there'll still be some radicals there against supporting W and the war on terror, but we have our share of those idiots here in the states as well.

This will only strengthen England's resolve IMO, and maybe it'll finally wake up some of their neighboring countries to the reality of this war on terror.

Sadly this will not be the case with everyone. Many in the world will see this as fallout from the Iraq war. The Brits have what's coming to them for participating in an illegal war against a nation posing no threat in the real war on terror.

gohorns, hope you're right, but this definately isn't the england of 10, 15 much less 50 years ago. i don't think they'll completely lay down like spain, but i can see many making excuses for the organizations responsible for these acts and blaming the US and the gvt.
