Mack Brown = easy money

The longhorns have been the key team in gambling for the past 5-6 yrs. Only last year was OU favored over texas in the past 5 yrs and they still could not win in the spread.
My lock in Vegas last year was the horns giving 8 1/2 at Arkansas - as predicted they didn't cover. Their thumping of terrible opponents, their over rated hype and their
incredible roster of Texas high school all stars shifts the line a good 14 points from Mack Browns terrible on field coaching. I would love to see his record against the spread against top 25 teams, I believe he covered against a couple ranked A&M teams (which will end this year) and that's it,
I've gone against him in every bowl (Cotton, Holidays and Rose) and every red river shootout.

I bet the horns give 3 to 6 at the horseshoe this year and 6-8 against OU. You better believe I'm going the other way. Mack provides the best smart money in Vegas year in and year out. All the ticket money I've blown on tu/A&M tickets the last 5 years are from Mack Brown incompetent winnings. God bless that man.

I'd guess just last year alone he beat the spread while playing ranked OSU, Tech (a game in which most has UT as an underdog) and A&M and didn't cover against OU and Michigan.

Pretty sad post considering the lines for the Utah, Baylor and Tenn. games. Wonder if Dennis coached within 2 TD's of those lines?

Excellent post, I concur sir. The smart money is against texas. I won $500 when they were giving points in the BIG XII Champioship against Colordo. Macks not going to win a conference championship - what a joke, free vegas money.

Mack can win, 4-5 losses in the past 4 years?!? His recruiting bumps the line up, his coaching never follows through. Stay away from the Rice, Houston High and Lafayette games, take the points against tu the rest of games out - YOU WILL MAKE MONEY - NO DOUBT.

Well, when you see me start to rail on OU and make fun of their losses, feel free to rip me. If you did see that, you would probably think how stupid I was to be ripping on a team that completely owns us. That's the way I feel about you and your Aggie Internet buddies.

Of course, it's not just football. Across the athletic spectrum, Texas and Texas A&M is likely the most lopsided rivalry in sports. Let me know if you can think of one that is more lopsided. It's an interesting argument, isn't it?

The true magic of Mack is that he still recruiting very well. I mean is he telling these kids he going to win titles? -He knows he's lying to them but he still gets em, that the truely amazing thing.

Stellar talent, slightly better than average results - still gets the talent. Thats unbelievable - more power to him.

You know who Mack Brown is?

He's not a football coach.

He's a really good salesman who loves the game of football.

Get the top salesman at Gallery Furniture and he will do the same exact thing in Austin.

Sell tu and the great city of Austin to all the great high school talent, coach em like hes playing Tecmo Bowl (8 plays in the playbook), win 10 a year and lose to the teams that have both talent and coaching. (add A&M to the list this year.)

The hype for this guy is higher than ever, which is fantastic - that makes way for a bigger fall later on.

I agree agswin, Mack continues to recruit well there is no denying that. Actually I hope he keeps recruiting well because I expect that A&M will be top 10 two years from now and on. I hope that A&M and the sips are both top 10 every time we play them. The state of Texas needs this and it is long overdue. I want ESPN’s gameday to come to our games and just feature this game on T+1. Beating the sips when they are top 10 would be 10 times better than beating OU when they were #1. I know you sips don't have any idea what that is like but it is a good feeling.

And newsflash Coach Fran can coach, he just came to a team that was slow and weak and not his style. I realized this after I took the maroon colored goggles I was wearing off and looked how OU, UT and the sips were beating us on the lines and with their speed.

Fran lost to Baylor.
