why the L to Colorado for us?

Main reason: It's in Boulder and you had to go to overtime to win at home against them.

Other reason: When is the last time you won in Boulder? Even when CU has sucked they've owned you there.

Other reason: It's the preseason... there's not much to go on, yet. A more accurate prediction could be made after each team plays a few games. To me, both the CU game and Clemson games are toss-ups because they're against decent teams on the road. I said you would win one and lose the other, but I might have just as easily flipped them, or said you'd win both, or said you'd lose both. I guess at that particular moment in time, my gut said to put down a win against clemson and a loss against CU.

Why was Baylor a concern? You should be concerned about Fran's road record.

Assuming Tech doesnt fall victim to National Juggernaut Florida International, They should win 7-8 games this year.

As I've said, I see us handling all teams up until TT/OU/UT, which I honestly think we can win...we'd have to have banner games, but it is POSSIBLE (note the difference between that and PROBABLE...which it is not). What Tech has going for us, aside from JSBC, is their strong passing game, and our relatively porous secondary. That being said, I agree with sodium...it's Preseason. We have relatively little, if anything, to go on. We might as well be predicting schedules for the next 4 years for all the good that it will do us.

I don't see how this will play at all into the game this year, unless you are trying to argue that neither team lost anyone and neither team improved coming into this season...

Using this logic you should argue that a loss to baylor will happen again for the Ags this year and that tu will never beat ou

If I may interject, we (UT) WILL beat ou this year........we have to. I know I've said this before, but this year is the year.

Not quite. Again, since it's the preseason, we don't have much to go on, but here's what we do know... While both teams have lost and gained some players, there is no hard evidence to suggest that A&M will improve more or less than CU will improve. What we do know is that the game changes venues and becomes a home game for Colorado and a road game for A&M. Given that Colorado, who wasn't very good last year, was able to take you to overtime on the road, and given that A&M has lacked the circumstances (talent, mental tenacity, leadership) to win on the road in recent years, it seems to that CU has the better chance for a victory. Again, it's the preseason, and I'm only making a prediction of the outcome given the facts of the situation. I certainly think A&M could win this game, and I think they could lose this game. I also think any of you aggies who think that the game is a given win and will be a walk in the park are simply being astigmatic.

I don't think the CU game is going to be easy by any means, but comparing last year's performance to an upcoming season is stupid. There are so many other factors when it comes to ballgames that just saying, "Well, you barely won @ home last year, and the teams didn't change, so you'll probably lose on the road," is bush league.
