OK, explain this to me like I'm stupid:
Tech goes into Cincinnati, playing in a game that has been circled on the Bearcat chalkboard since the QB drama I'm sure all of you are too familiar with. And every true college football fan knows how hard and intimidating a place Nippert Stadium is to play in, one of the oldest and most prestigious stadiums in the nation with a rabid fan base (see the students storming the field).
Let's face the facts: Finishing undefeated in THE TWELVE is a herculean task. The competition's brutal week after week, and the odds of beating every BigXII team on your schedule is a big ask. Not that I'm not disappointed with the loss... but I understand. I understand the reality of the situation.
But lo and behold I open the newspaper to see Tech ranked #13 in the AP poll and #14 in the Coaches. How can this be? You have three... count them... THREE two-loss SEC teams RANKED HIGHER THAN TECH! And, get this... even KENTUCKY is ranked higher with an equal one-loss!
If this isn't a prime example of conference bias, I don't know what is!
Can anyone rationally explain what has happened to the college football that used to make sense?
