BYU and Utes fans are just super passionate about their schools. I know. I've lived in Salt Lake City before.

I've also been stuck in Provo and had to con an Uber driver cause they shut the Frontrunner train down before midnight on Saturdays. Provo takes the Sabbath to an extreme. If you're there when the clock strikes midnight, you're going to be spending Sunday in Provo whether you have a hotel room or not.

Lots of comfortable seatbacks instead of the pack-em in like livestock experience. Plus, you're building on the side of a mountain with established neighborhoods and growth all around. They did just approve new suites to be added and stadium expansion will probably be a near future event. We don't want a Floyd Casey or TDECU situation where empty sections are glaringly obvious on television. IOW, Rice-Eccles is profitable enough right now.
The university also acquired the remainder of the Fort Douglas army reserve base, however, so who knows?
Add that the Olympics return to Salt Lake in 2034, so expansion is probably going to happen.
