Why ? Seriously make a case where TAMU belongs in the Big 10. I know you'll say academics. Hate tell you bud but many of those folks/fans watching all those beer and truck commercials couldn't care less about the academics. And those are the vast majority of college football fans. Walk into Buckees or HEB and just take a look at all those wearing burnt orange- They dont look like horn grads.

Same in Ga, Al, Oh, In, Pa, Oregon,etc. College Football drives passion that drives advertising revenues. The Big-10 as configured will not last because the executives are not patient enough to let MASS passion form between schools 1200 miles or more apart. Geography among the masses does help drive passion. And never mind such an arrangement driving up cost. All in all never underestimate the power of short term thinking and greed.

There is a reason the NFL as recently as the late '90's reorged their football divisions mostly by geography.
