Texas Tech in a dog fight down to the final minutes with an Oregon State team that won 2 games last year. Utah looks pretty good though and glad to see the Pokes beat Oregon! Great win!

I was pleasantly surprised by OSU's effort against Oregon, especially after they got beat by Tulsa. Otherwise, an SEC team handed a Big 12 Conference title contender a 28-point loss on a steamy sun-baked day in Texas.

Tech may be a great team by the end of the season, but they aren't even a good team right now. Leftwich is not the answer at OC, and no matter how good the defense might be, it's going to be less good than last year. The offense has to produce at a higher level.

Not to take away from what I think is your point - that Tech should have decimated Oregon State and didn't - but this is exactly the thing that happened in the CFP game vs. Oregon. Oregon's last two scores came as a result of a short field (TT 25 and 28 yard line respectively) with turnovers on downs. The game was 13-0 with 5 minutes left. Oregon's last touchdown was scored with 11 seconds left on the clock.

Just saying. The folks that say Oregon blew Tech out didn't watch the game. Tech's defense was stifling. Tech's offense choked.
