Texas Tech isn't a "big boy" program. It's second rate at best in this state.

You're only fooling yourself. Tech's facilities, roster, and recruiting are easily top 10 nationally. Tech finished last season ranked higher than every other team in Texas in every poll.

I don't understand the Aggie mentality of discounting other teams. It doesn't hurt A&M for Tech to be good. And whether you like it or not, Tech's a very good football program right now.

Every fanbase discounts/looks down on/ridicules another school or schools. This is not limited to Aggies. The sips still treat us this way. It's just the tribal nature of sports

Based on that chart, Oregon, Michigan, Nebraska and Arkansas are woefully underachieving.

After the Utah game, there is some movement to fire their AD.

I guess it makes sense if you're an in-conference traditional rival. I guess.

I'm an old guy now. Maybe that changes things. Tech hasn't played in the same conference with A&M in years and years. My view on it is that I don't really care if A&M is good or great or awful. Doesn't impact my team, unless I suppose Tech and A&M are going after the same recruit.

It's good for the state of Texas to have strong universities and strong athletic programs across the board, and Texas is a wealthy enough state to have that happen without impacting other schools. We're not an Alabama or Arkansas that are LOLpoor and can only afford to have one top-tier program.

Maybe I would feel differently if Tech were in the SEC (God forbid).

I dunno.

Tech played in the National Championship playoffs. That's pretty "big boy" if you ask me.

Yet you could not score a single point.

Overrated is more like it.

Tech and Texas scored the same number of points in the CFP last year. Only Tech's viewership numbers were infinitely higher than UT's.

LOL, "played" is a matter of perception, now you were in the stadium at least. tt "played" so poorly, you disappeared into mommy's basement for several months.

A&M scored 3 points in their CFP game, at home......Take the log out of your eye....

Our game was tied 3-3 until the end of the 4th quarter, because it was a competitive defensive battle. Yours was an embarrassing blowout.

We scored in a 10-3 game game, you little fellas scored zero in a 23-0 rout. Pull the forest out of your eye

It's obvious that Oregon could not survive the BigXII gauntlet. Sure, you may have a miracle game against Texas Tech one week and then lose in embarrassing fashion to the likes of an Okie State. Plus, road trips cross country to Cincy, West V-Ginny, and Central Floriduh... Man, they'd be lucky to win six games a season.

I like the term "competitive defensive battle." I took one of the best snoozes of my life during that "competitive defensive battle."

Our game was played on in the Orange Bowl on a neutral field. A&M got kicked in the nads by Miami at home. Pull the weeds out of your nose

It was a three point game. Gosh, math is so hard for you little tt fellows. Pull her head out of your rectum.
Doesn't matter where the game was played, you got your backsides handed to you. But you keep scrambling.

It was a three-point game for the Ags, that's all they scored. Gamblers would say Miami won by 7. You keep on frying that bacon and waffling on your "smack."

I remember thinking in 2011 that maybe being in different conferences would lead to a cooling of the rivalry with our friends down in Austin. My thoughts were akin to yours... now that we don't play each other, there is no real reason for them to hate us and vice versa.

Didn't work out that way. Prolly won't work out that way with Tech and Baylor as well.

Me personally, I've softened a little on my Tech hate. I cringe a bit when my fellow Ags downplay Tech's accomplishments as it's no different than Longhorns acting like A&M doesn't matter to them. Tech is successfully paddling upstream in the current college sports environment. Schools like Texas, Notre Dame, Ohio State, etc. will always have the legacy media giving them a push while the A&M's and Tech's of the world have to paddle twice as hard. And to Tech's credit, they're doing it.
