Texas Tech accepts invitation to AutoZone Liberty Bowl - Texas Tech Red Raiders

Give me (AutoZone) Liberty (Bowl)!

Daddy versus SEC opponent Arkansas. Rekindling of old SWC rivalry.

Epic.

Stay tuned...

The Liberty Bowl stadium is a miserable place in a terrible part of Memphis. Have fun.

Memphis is a good place to see Graceland have bbq and get murdered.

some folks mix it up with the independence bowl because they both are meaningless and it doesn't matter

It sounded like a good time before the murdered part. No thanks, I want to be flinging tortillas for many years to come.

Unless they've built a new one, that stadium is a dump and not in a good part of town.
Where will you sling tortillas now that's illegal to throw objects of any kind onto the field?

A Razorback buddy of mine said I should hang out in the Shelby Forest-Frayser neighborhood of town. I'll think I'll do some tortilla-flinging there and see some sights.

LOL, and get your behind kicked, LOL!
If you like blues music, there's a bunch in and around Beal Street.
The Peabody hotel is great place visit, their duck parade from their $250K palace to the lobby duck pond and to the elevators is a must see. We were there around Christmas last year and our grandsons were honorary Duck Masters. It was a pretty big deal.
Across from the Peabody is ally where Championship BBQ is. Great ribs! It looks like was a speakeasy back in the day. Lots of famous folks have eaten there.

Was it the Independence Bowl that A&M played in basically an ice storm back in the early 2000's or late 90's?

Independence and maybe the Sun Bowl had lots of snow and ice.

My senior year we played USC in the liberty Bowl circa 1975. The FTAB played the USC band at a high school stadium in a flag football game on a very cold dreary morning. They played a band game with all of the counterparts, they were defeated for two years, we won 24-12. There was a write up in the Eagle a couple of days later.

Unlikely

Why do you say unlikely? There have been numerous snow/ice games at the Sun Bowl- one of them was the 1982 game vs Pittsburg
