The conference has had in-depth discussions about this and a decision is expected in the upcoming months. The commercial sponsor would potentially take the name Big out of Big 12 and replace it with the sponsor’s name.

I know its fun to make fun of them, but I think Yormark is light years better as their commissioner than anyone that tu put in there for the Big 12. I think its very forward thinking and the B1G and the SEC will also jump on this with the right partners.

Just another clear message to all of us olds that college athletics is nothing like it was in our youth. I'm in my 50's and this just shows that we are about 180 degrees away from the SWC and its champion going to the Cotton Bowl with teams paying players under the table.

Aggies and Horns are all about making that money when it comes to their conference. Hypocrites.

How about the Phillips 66 Conference? They already have a relationship with the Big 12 for basketball. The problem is that the don't sell Phillips 66 in lots of the Big 12 footprint, I does make sense for one reason. You are going to burn a lot of gasoline travelling to Big 12 games.

It would be very hard to be a Telsa owner and a fan of a Big 12 school. If you are a Big 12 student athlete, you will be spending a lot of time changing planes.
