For many years I've heard people say Athens, Georgia is the best college town iin the country. After being there for four days in November I whole heartedly agree. Very friendly, knowledgeable fans, great bars, great restaurants, etc.

The three biggest events every year in Austin are ACL, SXSW and F1. Austin is a college town like Philadelphia is. They both have lot of college students, but the city does not revolve around the school.
